Railway Track Pedestrain Crossing without using Staircase

Need:
     In Railway stations normally we use bridges to go to the other platforms.  Sometimes it is very difficult for the elderly persons or handicapped persons to use that bridge.  Our project finds a solution to this problem.
Proposed Idea:
This project is used for automatically close/open the mobile platforms inbetween the train tracks. Normally the mobile platform connects the two platforms, through which the passengers can walk on the platform to reach the next platform.  when the train comes. Sensors are placed in the two sides of the track. If the train reaches one sensor, the mobile platform will automatically close and allows the train to go through the tracks and then when the train leaves the second sensor the mobile platform will automatically open bridging the 2 platforms.  The Microcontroller will sense the presence of trains by using Infrared red sensors.  So on sensing the train on one path, the controller will give pulses to the stepper motor to close the mobile platform automatically.
     The mobile platform has a red/green Signal indication so that the pedestrians can know whether they can use the bridge or not. The signal automatically turns to red when the train comes and becomes green when the train leaves the station.
          For demonstration we can have a model decipting this action.  The Controller which we are going to use is PIC 16f877.

This project is concerned with the design and fabrication of a hardware that will monitor the performance of the load sharing process by taking power consumed by the load into consideration. This power is displayed on the monitor with the aid of suitable software.


The operation of transformers in parallel becomes necessary because:
Ø  If the amount to be transformed is greater than which can be handled by one transformer, it becomes necessary to employ two or more units in parallel.
Ø  To meet the additional demand or a power system it becomes necessary to replace the existing unit by unit of greater capacity or to install the additional unit to carry a portion of the load. The cost of making such changes will in many cases be greater than if the original transformer is connected in parallel with another to carry a portion of the load. Hence in this project “Power Sharing of Transformers” paralleling of transformers become necessary.

In case of deviations from the normal values, suitable control actions can be implemented to ensure reliable operation of relays. So the transformers are connected in parallel to share the load.
It also has a Thermistor to monitor the temperature of the transformer, and a Flame Sensor to detect the Flame, and an Intruder Sensor to detect intruder and the transformer will be tripped if any of the above is sensed.
Also we have Recycling Time, which will monitor the load, and disconnects the unwanted transformer from sharing.

PC Based Pollution Tester For Vehicles with       WEB Cam Interface


            This project automates the Emission  vehicles for Pollution.  At present in the Emission test centre to test a vehicle, first the details are collected and the vehicle is tested with the testing equipment and the percentage of CO2 and other gases are noted and the certificate is given manually.  This  system has many loop holes ie.,
The certificate can be given with out the Vehicles presence.  It won’t detect a stable value before taking print through which we can give printout at a desired value when the Gas Values increases.

            By Computerizing the Emission test the above mentioned problems can be eliminated.  One the vehicle is connected the gas values are indicated on the screen and its values are compared with the Set values and indications are given.  The vehicles presence can be ensured by using the WEB camera .

            Once the test is over the when the vehicle has passed the test it gives the option for the user to print the certificate or it gives the failed message.

Aim:
            The scope of this project is to develop a system which constantly monitors the health status of a person (even while walking on the roads) and if any abnormalities  is found, it is immediately transferred to the nearest hospital, seeking the attention of the doctor.
 Project Description:
            Our project is a working model, which incorporates sensors to measure all these parameters like Body temperature, Respiratory Temp, ECG and Heart Beat rate, all enclosed into a coat.   An Embedded Micro controller scans data from all this sensors and transfer it to the hospital if there is an emergency situation. It also enables an alarm beep sound to indicate the patient.  Moreover this system is powered using a Battery, which enables us to use this system even when we are in mobile.

Zigbee Based Air Pollution Monitoring with PC Interface (EOFS)
Environment Observation and Forecasting System(EOFS) is a application for monitoring and  providing a forecasting about environmental phenomena. We design an air pollution monitoring system which involves a context model and a flexible data acquisition policy. The context model is used for understanding the status of air pollution on the remote place. It can provide an alarm and safety guideline depending on the condition of the context model.

            Sensor data monitoring system receives the measured data  from sensor network and provide the useful information for users by understanding the condition of the remote place. The proposed monitoring system structure is based on the framework for context awareness. In order to control the geosensor network and to monitor air pollution, we use two system; sensor network control system and air pollution monitoring system. The control system supports the operators which control sensor network such as sampling interval change and network status check. The operators are useful for keeping the good status of data transmission in geosensor network. The air pollution monitoring system supports sensor data abstraction and air pollution prevention models for understanding the pollution level and area. The models are used for providing alarm message and safety guideline for people in pollution area.
            A node contains sensors with a zigbee module to transmit data to the central network (router or configurator). The data from the unit is periodically received by the network configurator and is stored in the pc for analyzing purposes.
