GSM Based Remote Monitoring System for Electronic Energy Meters

The need for the is to update the current system of Electricity Billing. 

Operation:

          Normal Electricity billing has more disadvantages. A person from electricity board has to come to the consumer’s house and note down the reading of the Electricity in units. The amount will be noted and we must pay the amount to the EB.  IF the consumer fails to do so, a person from EB again has to come and trip the supply to the user. More over if the house is locked, the consumer should pay the last month’s amount. 

Here we have presented a system in which no human is necessary to do the billing and tripping process.  The user will have a hardware by which the Main line is attached to the house.  The hardware will have a interface to the EB station.  According to the electricity consumption the units and the amount are calculated and are sent to the EB automatically.  If the user fails to pay the amount in time the electricity will be tripped automatically.

 

  The system has Mutual benefits to both the user and the EB. It Includes

User Side:

Online Cost Display:

Cost Display for the unit consumed for the individual in his house.

Online KWH Display:

          Displays the Power consumed and also the Kilo Watt Hour

EB Side:

Automatic Tripping of User:

          If the card is invalid the user will be tripped immediately.

Printing Facility:

          At any point of time Printout can be taken from the database.

Graphical Display for the KWH:

          Online Graphical Display of KWH of the user.
